The Christmas Party was held on Thursday 18th December and was a very good night. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the place was packed. Complimentary Denchi Kai Academy Diaries were handed out to everyone who attended. The highlight of the night as always was the presentation of the Spirit of Enoeda Award which was presented to Jorden Hildrew. The award is given to the student who the Senseis believe are doing their best to follow the Dojo Kun (Dojo Code) - Character, Sincerity, Effort, Etiquette and Self-control. Jorden is a very dedicated Karateka and gives of his best in all areas of his karate and also his personal conduct, a very deserving recipient of the Award. Jorden also achieved his Dan Grade this year. Well Done!
During the course of the evening, a surprise presentation was made by the Students to Sensei Steve and Sensei Karl. Chantelle Morrison made a speech to show the Students appreciation for the Sensei's and all their hard work and dedication they put into the Clubs. There wasn't a dry eye in the room when she was finished! Both Senseis were presented with elegant pens (ideal for register and card signing!) and also a card with the speech written in it.
Sensei Steve and Karl would like to take this opportunity to thank the Club for the gifts and their kind words of support and appreciation. A wonderful gesture. Thank you.
