This year Sensei Steve and Sensei Karl have introduced the ‘Spirit of Enoeda Award’. The Trophy is awarded based on the Dojo Kun and dedication to the Karate Club. Each year the plaque will be awarded to 1 person and their name engraved on it, they will receive a small trophy to keep, and will be allowed to keep the plaque for 1 year. As you will have noticed 2 people have won it this year, in future it will only be one. It was awarded to two people because the Senseis found it impossible to choose between these people as they both have been a tremendous support during the launch of the Academy and the split at Denchi Kai in September which was a very difficult time for them, having their loyalties torn between them. In the face of these difficulties, they not only managed to overcome them, but also managed to achieve their Shodan (black belt) in October & November after having given outstanding performances at their shodan grading, which did not go unnoticed by Sensei Sherry and Sensei Higgins!
