Denchi Kai Academy was formed on 17th April 2006 with the opening of Kashi Do Shotokan Karate Club. Kashi Do linked with the already existing Denchi Kai Shotokan Karate Club and the Academy was formed.

The Academy has 4 Instructors, All of whom are KUGB Qualified Instructors, Sensei Steve Smith (2nd Dan), Sensei Noreen Small BSc(Hons) (4th Dan), Sensei Karl Smith (2nd Dan) and Sensei Laura Smith (2nd Dan).

We are affiliated to the KUGB (Karate Union of Great Britain), which is the largest and most successful single-style association in Great Britain with currently almost 11,000 members.

Both clubs train 2 days per week and there is an additional class on a Friday which incorporates both Clubs and is invitation only. Gradings are held every 4 months and we maintain a very high standard.
